This supply is a replacement for both the original P05 and the P05A, neither of which is now available. The circuit is unchanged from the P05B project, but of course when you buy the PCB you get all the component values.  The supply can be operated from a single 15 or 16V AC plug-pack power unit, or a 15-0-15 V transformer for maximum flexibility. 12V (or other voltage) operation is possible, just by changing the values of the voltage setting resistors.

The noise performance is excellent, due to the use of adjustable regulators, additional filtering and the high capacitance used. It has sufficient power for any preamp, electronic crossover network or any other (preamp) project shown on The Audio Pages. It can also be used to make a variable bench supply (as shown in Project 44). This update adds a complete muting circuit to the 'Loss of AC' detector provided on the P05A board.
