YOU MUST READ THIS! ... For those who wish to join the forum, there are a few simple rules. Account creation is by user, but no new account will be enabled until you send me an email, confirming your username and email address. If I don't receive an email within a couple of days after your registration, your account will not be activated.

If your account details don't look 100% genuine to me, the account will not be activated. Random (or stupid) usernames will not be activated. New account requests from free email providers (you know the ones) are discouraged, and ANY bizarre or random email and/or forum usernames will not be activated. If you live in Russia (or any former Soviet country), China, or The South Americas, the account will not be approved unless you can convince me via email that you are genuine.

After registration is approved and after 7 days, users with empty (or nonsense) profiles may be deleted - no warnings, no redress. Any inappropriate post (e.g. linking to any of the website types listed below) will ensure instant deletion of your account and posts, and you will be banned by IP address. After you have joined the forum, go to the UCP (User Control Panel) and make sure that you enter proper information for your profile. This includes ...

• location (the country you live in, and preferably the city too)
• occupation (what you do for a living - "Prefer not to say" is acceptable)
• interests (hobbies and other interests)

These fields are not optional. Any profile with garbage (or nothing at all) in these fields may be deleted without notice. Likewise, should you include a website, if it ...

• is not your own personal website or has nothing to do with technology
• doesn't exist (404 - Not Found error, or redirects to anything else in this list)
• advertises any medicinal or therapeutic product (real or imaginary)
• advertises work from home "opportunities" or other suspect material
• links to sex sites, suspected "malware" of any kind or anything else "dodgy"
• advertises products in direct competition with ESP

... the account may again be deleted without notice. Needless to say I'd much rather that this were not necessary, but there is a continuous problem with nuisance "members", and if this information is not included I have no way of knowing if you are legitimate or not.

If you are not prepared to include the above details, then I'm not prepared to provide you with access to the forum. If you have read through and agree to the above ...
